MEDICAL ADVOCACY

The medical system can be every bit as difficult to navigate and intimidating as the legal system to someone hurt by violence. The goal of medical advocacy is to help victims get the attention they need and to support them while they are going through a difficult period in their life.

If requested we will provide:

  • Emergency room accompaniment

  • Support throughout the evidence collection process

  • Help you understand your victims’ rights and reporting options

  • Advocacy with law enforcement and medical professionals

  • Crisis intervention

  • Connection to aftercare resources

  • Support obtaining follow-up medical care

  • All services are directed by the survivor’s needs and goals.

  • Follow-up support is available.
